Built over 500 years ago, the Frauenhof has undergone 18 renovations with changing stylistic influences in the eventful history of Rapperswil. Late Gothic coffers with flat carvings mix with valuable stucco ceilings from the Rococo period. Together with the building owners and the monument conservation authorities, we recreated filigree windows according to historical models. Double and triple glazing provide increased energy efficiency as well as sound insulation for the contemporary restaurant and art gallery on Rapperswil’s main square.
