During the renovation of this listed wooden SBB building from 1911, bricked-up windows were to be reopened to allow more daylight as well as improving energy efficiency. Thanks to our early advice, architect Andreas Haug found a solution that complied with the preservation order: half of the windows could be renovated with a doubling, while the other half was faithfully reproduced to create a coherent overall appearance.
