Named after the textile machine manufacturer Carl Hamel – the ‘Hamel’ is the northern end of the Saurer WerkZwei from the early 20th century. During its complete renovation in 2016, this important witness to Arbon’s industrial history was transformed into contemporary living, sales and service spaces. We were allowed to equip the high window fronts of the four-storey building with contemporary insulating glass.
