In 1487, stonemasons laid the foundation for the most powerful late Gothic monastery in Switzerland. The completely wooden attic and the filigree skeletonized stone forms of today’s university building bear witness to an eventful history. From 2018 to 2020 we have recreated over 300 windows with the typical baroque muntins and restored the glazing of the gothic bar tracery windows in the cloisters.
